String of beads

Items are rounded, flat in profile, with one hole in the center (beads). They are made mainly of soft rock, including pyrophyllite (agalmatolite).

Traces of artificial red paint have been remained on the surface of the pendant and some of the beads. The artificial composition is indicated by low iron values and the presence of organic additives.

Manufacturing technique

The process of making the beads included manufacturing of the blanks (of similar sizes). Then the central holes were made. Then the items were trated on abrasive slabs. After that, all the beads that were on one string became the beads with the similar diameter.

Use-wear traces

Use-wear traces were not found. However, in some cases, the surface shows traces of contact with soft material (leather or leather clothing).
