Oval pendant

Item is oval in shape, rounded in profile with a single hole at the edge. Probably, the pendant was sewn on clothes.


Manufacturing technique

The pendants manufacturing process consisted of several stages. At the first stage, the selection of raw materials took place. At the second stage, a blank of the required shape was created by pounding. At the third stage, the blanks were ground and drilled.

Various sizes of pyrophyllite pebbles were used as raw materials for the manufacture of pendants.


Use-wear traces

Traces of grinding, polishing and drilling were recorded.
