Pendant

The item is oval, lenticular in profile, with a flattened side and a hole at the edge. Probably, the pendant was sewn on clothes.

Manufacturing technique

The blank was formed on a flake or small pebble by splitting, then the item was treated with abrasives. The hole drilling is offset to the edge.

Various sizes of pyrophyllite pebbles were used as raw materials for the manufacture of pendants.
