Blank of bead

The blank is a small square-shaped item made of pyrophyllite (agalmatolite) without drilling traces.

Traces of artificial red paint have been remained on the surface of the blank. The artificial composition is indicated by low levels of iron (11.45%) and the presence of additives of various origins.

Manufacturing technique

For grinding the blanks, abrasives were used. They were sandy bars. Such bars and their fragments were found on several Ushki sites.
