Pendant

The item is triangular, with one hole in the upper part. Through the entire upper part a crack runs, along which the pendant was glued. The lower side part of the item is broken off. A pendant is made of soft rock - pyrophyllite (agalmatolite).

Traces of artificial red paint have been remained on the surface. The artificial composition of the pigment is indicated by low iron values (12%) and the presence of additives of a different character.

Manufacturing technique

The pendant manufacturing process consisted of several stages. At the first stage, the selection of raw materials took place. Then, at the second stage, a blank of the required shape was created. After that, in the third stage, the blank was ground and drilled.

Various sizes of pyrophyllite pebbles were used as raw materials for the manufacture of pendants.
