Blade with holes

This blade with holes is an intermediate step in the bead manufacturing chain. It shows the stage of forming a flat blank and drilling the holes. The next stage is cutting the blade in fragments of certain sizes and giving the item a round shape. We studied two such blanks for a mass manufacturing of beads in the collection.

Manufacturing technique

In most cases, forming traces on the ends of such items are not found. The surface was treated with a burin on both sides. The most intensive treatment can be traced from a relatively more convex side. At the final stage of work, double-sided drilling of holes without flaring was made. Then the blade was cut into pieces which were subsequently treated for small and medium beads.
