Pigment-containing materials (Goethite)
Goethite is granular or needle-like aggregates, sometimes replaced by limonite. Yellow and brown paints obtained of goethite are classified as artificial pigments. The iron content in them is 5%. Goethite was formed in the zone of oxidation of primary hematite-magnetite ores, the outcrops of which are located in the area of the Bely Iyus River.
Manufacturing technique
Fragments with hematite were split off the pieces of initial raw materials. Fragments were grinded up and then they were used for the paint manufacturing.
